Amp Cube

Summary

This amplifier board is pretty common throughout eBay and Amazon, and is a 15 x 15 Watt stereo amp. Once again, I was unable to find a box design for it, so I made my own. When pushed hard, this amp tends to run hot, and since I like fans, I incorporated a fan into my design that seems to drop the temperature about 50°
For my use, my intention was to insert this as the amplifier for my fix it Felix game, so I included the likeness of Gene, The crabbiest of the Nicelanders into the side of the box for fun. All files are included for remixes

Post printing

Use the #2 x 1/4" screws to secure the amp board to the base, the #4 X 1/4" screws to secure the lid to the base and the #10 X 1/2" screws to mount the fan. For my application I removed the terminal strips for the power input and audio outputs and went with direct wiring.

About the Design

This design, as well as previous designs, was done in Autodesk’s free 123D design. This is now an abandoned piece of software, that I am still very proficient in. You can download its last revision for Windows (2.2.14) here, but understand that the online cloud storage option no longer works.

The .123dx file may contain sketches, solids, or both needed to render the final STL. and is included to ease part modification for your purpose.
